Abstract
We have demonstrated a simultaneous demultiplexing from 80 Gb/s into two channels of 40 Gb/s using a SOA-based all-optical polarization switch for the first time. The advantage of 7 dB in the power budget was confirmed against the conventional demultiplexing scheme.
