  • Abstract
    We report for the first time the observation of acoustic defect modes in a dual-core two-dimensional square-lattice photonic crystal fiber preform. This result shows coupling between the two acoustics defect modes and provides the basis for developing acousto-optic devices based on photonic crystal fibers.
