Abstract :
This paper presents results of tests performed on an earthing switch in a particular high-speed earthing switch, as one part of a common development project of 300 kV gas-insulated metal enclosed switchgear (GIS) with respect of requirements regarding switching of induced current. During the making and breaking operation occurred internal effects from design point of view are explain, characteristics required by standards, main parameters of switchgear, design feature and tests results of tested earthing switch are given and discussed. There are two types of earthing switches: low speed maintenance and high speed earthing switches. Because of the installation at the entering point of the substation, a high-speed earthing switch has been tested to obtain its ability to make and break electromagnetically and electrostatically induced current in parallel line.
