  • Abstract
During last decade, power quality problems have become one of the most intensive studied areas of power engineering. Fourier transformation (FT) and especially its digital form-fast Fourier transform was usually used for power quality analysis. Unfortunately, this transform has its drawbacks. During recent years, a novel technique for signal processing emerged in engineering practice-the wavelet transform. Wavelets are limited duration signals with zero average value. The aim of this paper is to present the transient analysis of digitally controlled AC/DC converter input waveforms, since the AC/DC converter is the most common harmonic "polluter" of the power supply.
