Abstract
In the paper the range of passive sonar is analyzed by means of passive hydrolocation equation. Based on research of Adriatic Sea noise and noise of vessels as naval targets, optimal frequency range for detection of acoustical signal in Adriatic Sea is determined. Analytical procedure for optimization of low- and high-frequency range for detection of acoustic signal is presented. The paper represents a contribution to the research of passive detection and hydrolocation methods in acoustically detectable range in Adriatic Sea.
