Abstract :
Advanced telecom systems require on-board power supplies to produce several tightly regulated voltages for different critical and heavy electronic loads. This paper presents a single-stage, multiple-output converter topology suitable for such applications particularly when several critical and heavy loads are located at different parts of a circuit board. The merits of this topology include single-stage power conversion, high-voltage-low-current on-board power distribution, multiple-output voltage regulation at points-of-use, soft-switching, lower number of power components, etc. Operating principle and steady state analysis of the topology are presented in the paper. Experimental results on a two-output prototype converter are also given for the proof-of-concept
