Abstract :
One of the main problems occurring during design of the DECT system structure is connected with the EM field distribution in the region where this system operates. Information about this field distribution makes possible the determination of the level of the interference and influence of environmental conditions on the parameters connected with propagation of EM waves. Tests of wave propagation made inside a building allows the checking of the validity of the presented models for determination of loss of signal during direct propagation. Using these models correction coefficients are introduced to make the determination of the EM field around the DECT system base stations more accurate.
