Abstract
This paper is concerned with formant analysis and different methods for automatic vowel classification. The first step is the digitalization of vowel sound patterns with standard normalization and noise reduction algorithms applied. After that, any of the presented classification methods could be performed. The ADS v2.0 application, which was developed by the authors as the DSP software for some medical researches, is used for visualizing vowel wave shapes.
