Abstract :
A new class of polyphase sequences with ideal periodic autocorrelation function called the generalized chirp like (GCL) sequences was defined by Popovic (1992, 1994). These sequences have specific aperiodic autocorrelation function that is very useful in the pulse compression radars. For the radar applications it is very important to find an efficient implementation of the corresponding matched filter. It was done by Popovic with relation to a matched filter for the GCL sequences in the general case as well as special cases for P4 and Frank (1963) codes. The essence of this filter implementation is using the fast Fourier transform (FFT). The synthesis of the filter for a more general GCL model signal and the special cases of P4 and Frank models have been performed. The improvement of the filter efficiency was achieved by implementation of the Fourier transform calculation in a moving window (MDFT).
