Abstract :
We report on electronic eye monitoring in an 160 Gbit/s 1.55 μm transmission system over 44 km SMF field fiber after demux at 10 Gbit/s. The eye monitor enables to control independently eye distortions determined by optical noise, demux penalty and BER degradation.
