  • Abstract
    In this paper a simple analytical model for a multilayer Love wave device is proposed. This model allows to calculate the phase velocity of the wave with and without sensitive coating in contact with a Newtonian liquid. Experimental tests have been undertaken in order to validate theoretical results. For a biological detection application, the influence of the sensitive coating and liquid parameters on the gravimetric sensitivity is studied
