Abstract
An ultrasonic motor having very high driving efficiency has been realized. We use the nature of the lubricant, relationship between friction coefficient and pressure, to obtain sufficient frictional force change. The maximum efficiency was improved up to 72%, which is the record efficiency for this type of motors, by the newly proposed driving method, from 43% by the conventional ultrasonic motor
