Abstract :
An upsurge of environmental protection and preservation activity caused more aggressive segregation and recovery of waste materials. On the other hand, the use of waste paper did not increase so much because corrugated box board, newspaper, and toilet rolls continued to be major items to be recovered as they used to be before. Running into 1997, there grew an imbalance between supply and demand of waste paper, and its excessive supply became a social problem. FXOS developed a program of increasing ratio of recycled pulp content in its own paper products and began to publicize the activity through the mass media. There were a number of barriers in implementing the program, but united effort of all employees made it possible for FXOS to achieve the target by January 2001
