Text Retrieval in the Galician Digital Library

In this work, we present the content search engine for the Galician Digital Library, which is based in the text retrieval extended boolean technique. In order to implement it, the system combines an inverted index, built with the opensource libraries of the Lucene project, and three pattern matching algorithms. In addition, several empirical studies are provided in order to justify the technical decisions adopted and to show the global efficiency of the developed system.
