Abstract
In this paper a new algorithm for torque calculation using the Maxwell stress tensor method is presented. To reduce the influence of the integration path selection on motor torque calculations, an interpolation based on triangular Bezier surfaces has been used. The magnetic field has been calculated by the finite element method using the magnetic vector potential. The calculation results have been tested on a one-phase brushless motor used for all necessary measurements.
