Abstract
Resonant converters show several operating modes which contain the transition of conduction states. A clamped-mode series resonant converter (CM-SRC) has six operating modes in the static operation. The modes depend on the circuit parameters, states, and the variation of each switching interval. The analysis of operating mode has already been achieved in the static state. However, the dynamic mode transition of CM-SRC caused by load disturbances and the output control is not well understood. In this paper, it is clarified that output control induces new operating modes which have never been observed in the static operation experimentally and numerically
