Abstract :
In 1980s, studies based on a specially developed computer code H-WINDOW were fulfilled and new broadband pillbox window structures were found whose parameters (band-pass, technological, mechanical) occurred to be far above these of the known construction. The so-called "completely optimized" (CO) pillbox windows have maximum PFRM due to the optimization of all the sizes of the pillbox windows including the cross-sectional sizes of the input and output rectangular waveguides. The sizes of the CO symmetrical pillbox window and its main computed characteristics are presented.
