Abstract :
A lumped element model is presented for folded and unfolded monopoles with top-loading disks, valid when the antenna is electrically small. The lumped element values are frequency independent, can be directly related to physical mechanisms, and have closed-form expressions. The model validity has been tested against a range of numerical and experimental data.
