Abstract :
In the present paper a method to predict the differential rain attenuation statistics on converging links is proposed. It is based on a model convective rain cell structure of the rainfall medium. The assumption that both the point rainfall statistics and the rain attenuation follow a lognormal form is also adopted. The results of this method are compared with a set of available experimental data for the differential rain attenuation over pairs of terrestrial links in Brazil.
