Abstract :
Influence of the milling depth on the microstrip line parameters (attenuation, phase delay, effective dielectric constant and impedance) is, experimentally and numerically investigated in this paper. The milling depth denotes the thickness of the dielectric layer, which is removed during to the manufacturing procedure by milling-cutter plotter. The obtained data are used for estimation of the optimal milling depth, for which the microstrip line performances are not strongly affected.
