Abstract
This paper presents a functional description of a computer program, called RELIAB, that can evaluate the reliability of auxiliary electrical systems and distribution substations. The program is specifically designed for engineers with little or no background in reliability and programming. RELIAB is intended to be used during the design stage where there is a deficiency in information regarding components and the external system. These deficiencies will force the user to examine a large number of "what if" type of questions to select the best design for the-given situation and design criteria.
