Abstract :
The high-frequency electrocardiogram (ECG) has been developed for more than 40 years and it is still not applied to the clinic because there are some facts about the cause of the high-frequency ECG (HFECG) and its mechanism which are not understood well, and the idiosyncrasies of patients appears not too clear formerly. We are interested in the study of high-frequency information (HFI) in the QRS complex and use animal models and some extraction methods to examine its production mechanism. The purpose of this article is to describe some good results which could explain some phenomena, in particular that high-frequency notching located on the QRS complex is associated with myocardial injuries in which the small injury area exactly relates with injecting formalin or ligaturing of the coronary artery. We also found that notching processing is necessary, that supplementary parameters should adopted, and that the HFI has a very useful value of idiosyncratic, local, early and dynamic characteristics for early diagnosis.
