  • Abstract
A hinge type six-anvil hydraulic press is the main equipment for the production of superhard materials. Relays are usually its electric controlling units with poor reliability and high rate of malfunction. The hydraulic press is controlled by a computer system in this paper, both pressure and temperature are dominated according to the relations with time. Its hardware is an STD industrial computer with SCM Intel8098; the software could be automatic or manual operating. The insolating transformer, power conditioner, and special supply for the STD bus are used to avoid interference of the energy supply system. In order to prevent the process pathway from interference, an optoelectronic coupler, twisted pair wires for long-distance current transmission are adopted. Furthermore, measures are adopted to avoid the interference of the electromagnetic field. Experiments demonstrate that the system has many merits such as high control precision, strong anti-interference ability, and high reliability.
