Abstract
This work develops a design approach to nonlinear adaptive decentralized control system with unknown parameters and applies it to governors control of multimachine systems. The adaptive control strategy is formed by the adaptive backstepping way without involving transformation of linearization. The characteristic of the controller is that which involves a dynamic estimator of parameters. A general expression of nonlinear adaptive decentralized governors control strategy for multimachine systems is acquired, in which all of the feedback variables are local measurements.
