Abstract
Under the environment of the electrical power market, every power plant inside the pool will deliver electrical energy to power grid following the daily generating plan. A variation from the plan of more than 2% is considered a generating deviation. This paper presents the classification of generating deviation, and in applying the principle of the small-signal stability, analyzes the effect of the small-signal generating deviation to the behavior of the power-angle and the frequency of the grid. The result calculation leads to the conclusion is that the small-signal generating deviation will decrease the transient stability margin in some way but not threaten the safety of the grid in discussed case.
