Book review: IEE Conference Publication 189 - Gas Discharges and their Applications

This publication, in two Parts, is the proceedings of the sixth international conference on gas discharges and their applications, which attracted some 200 people, over 70% of them from 26 overseas countries, to Edinburgh in September 1980. This large overseas representation, which included 23 from Japan and five from China, gives some indication of the way that this conference is regarded abroad.
