Abstract :
This paper contains a description of the methodology used to align the interferometer optics in the TES cryogenic Fourier Transform Spectrometer. By means of a combination of a laser-based component state-of-alignment measurements and a detailed opto-mechanical model, both geometric and physical optics performance are predicted and optimized. The TES instrument is scheduled to be flown on EOS-CHEM in December 2002.
