Abstract :
Vendor developed enterprise systems have become common tools adopted by organizations to support integrated processes and increase flexibility. This paper explores the challenges of managing total systems flexibility within the divided software life cycle where development activities are performed by the enterprise system´s vendor and implementation, maintenance, and process learning are performed by the enterprise system´s adopting organization.
