Abstract
In this paper, we introduce a stereo image coder, which is based on the discrete wavelet transform. To estimate the disparity, overlapping bilinear windows are used. This combination proves to be a very efficient. Our coder outperforms the best stereo image coders known so far. In addition, it supports the progressive mode.
