Abstract :
Simulation and analysis of an industrial ethylene fractionator based on first-principles non-equilibrium static and dynamic models is studied in this paper. Detailed analysis of the ethylene fractionator aims at problems encountered in the practical operation of this process. Through the simulation, we point out the design problems and compare different control strategies of the fractionator. These conclusions are being used to guide the practical operation of the process.
