Abstract
The paper presents development methodologies involving tuning solutions of conventional and fuzzy controllers with dynamics of PI and PID type meant for low order benchmarks characterizing electrical drive systems: the ESO and MS-ESO tuning methods, and a new extension of the basic situation. Two control structures are presented: 1. the case of PI and PID controllers with homogenous information processing with respect to the two inputs; and 2. the case of PI and PID controllers with non-homogenous information processing. The tuning methods-developed by the authors-are briefly presented including optimization aspects and fuzzy control solutions involving a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controller.
