Abstract
This paper presents new converter topologies for low-power voltage sag compensators, based on the elimination of the series transformer and the utilization of converter structures with reduced number of semiconductor switches. The main aspects for the specification of the components and a design example are described, along with a simulation study, including the evaluation of the operation of the proposed compensators with nonlinear loads.
