  • Abstract
A general method for determining the coefficients of a differentiator that maximizes the error between actual and ideal low-pass differentiator (LPD) filters when signal and noise spectra are known is presented. Several examples of digital filters suitable for QRS complex and P-T wave processing in ECG are presented. The technique is applied to ECG signal processing for three common sampling rates.
