Abstract
We compute the outputs of matched filters for spread-time CDMA with and without the effect of window which is used for truncating the resulting pulse. We obtain the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SIR) in both cases and compare the results. We examine the effect of different multiuser detectors used for spread spectrum (SS) in spread-time (ST). It is shown that ST and SS have the same performance while ST has the ability of matching the transmitted spectrum to the channel. Furthermore we consider the effect of synchronization error in the absence of any window. It is shown that synchronization error in timing causes infinite ISI terms that do not converge.
