Abstract :
Formulas for multi-user detection (MUD) in CDMA systems are derived from perturbation theory. Higher order perturbation reduces more extensive (larger than 3 symbols) interference. The same formulas with a little change cancel the white interference distributed equally among all codes, and improve performance substantially. The results of simulation in multi-path channel show that there exists an optimum floor for the white interference and the methods outperform RAKE receivers.
