Abstract :
This paper is intended to show that even using analog techniques an integrated microsystem can be realized. Especially, by integrating particular analog functions, a big advantage can be obtained in terms of overall fabrication costs. A motor controller was chosen as an example to present the specific components of the control system. Furthermore, their contribution to the entire system is discussed. Based upon statistical examinations, it can be shown that the yield of this analog system is competitive to respective digital solutions when considering mismatch behavior in an early design stage.
