Abstract :
Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b WLANs will complement each other in the field of personal usage: while Bluetooth provides wireless connectivity in the personal area, IEEE 802.11b provides wireless access to local area networks. Because both technologies operate in the same frequency band co-existence studies are necessary. This report presents results from a co-existence testbed that give a detailed view of the performance and the parameters that influence the co-existence. Furthermore, supplementary approaches to support the co-existence are presented.
