Abstract :
The uncertainty of the mathematical model is a bottleneck in the domain of HVDC control. This paper introduces a novel nonlinear control method, namely auto-disturbance-rejection control method (ADRC), into the HVDC system, and designs the constant current ADRC for the rectifier and the constant extinction angle ADRC for the inverter. The study results show that the designed controller has excellent control performance, especially outstanding adaptability and robustness against external disturbances and model uncertainties.
