Abstract :
A novel method is presented to estimate the frame time and carrier frequency offset in orthogonal frequency multiplexing (OFDM) systems using a variable number of time-domain pilot signals. The performance and computational intensity of the proposed system is compared to a traditional OFDM system using redundant information from the cyclic prefix.
