Abstract :
The IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control has been publishing important research results in the field of Systems and Control for over 50 years and it is an internationally recognized flagship publication in the field. As the new Editor-in-Chief the author is looking forward to leading the TRANSACTIONS in 2010 and beyond, through its next editorial cycle, maintaining its tradition of excellence and at the same time introducing modest changes, he hopes, for the better.
