Abstract
In this paper, a new system of integral equations (SIE) for the unknown grounding current distribution function on the grounding system (GS) conductors in two-layer earth is established. First, a quasi-stationary electromagnetic (EM) field structure and the potential at the points around the GS in two-layer earth are determined. The GS supply zone is approximated by an ideal current generator. The SIE is numerically solved by the point matching method using a polynomial approximation for the current distribution function.
