Abstract :
Based upon the practical dynamic security regions (PDSR) on injection space, an expression for the power transfer limit of a critical cutset (PTLCC) is deduced. Theoretical analyses and case studies indicate that the PTLCC is not unique and varies in some range. Considering the generation dispatching, a method of on-line determination of the maximal PTLCC is recommended. The above method is applied to a real bulk power system.
