Abstract :
Detecting the status of the power transformer is important for the transformer and power system. The more the capacity of the power system, the more the accidents of short-circuit current impulse on the transformer. According to the tentative rules with regard to inspecting the transformer which suffered a short-circuit impulse, formulated by Shanghai Company of Electric Power based on a great deal of statistics data, this study suggests that the accumulating factor of short-circuit electromagnetic forces can act as the index to measure the impulse degree which affected the power transformer. The practical model of the index, the influence factors on the index, and its limited level coming from the experience are also detailed. The status detection system based on real-time short-circuit impulse current and its accumulation effect are introduced in this paper. The construction, mechanism and performance of this system are also described.
