Abstract :
This paper describes the iterative process used to model, analyze, and generate a reusable flight management system (FMS) flight planning architecture. This reusable architecture, designed to address existing and anticipated requirements of the changing CNS/ATM environment, has been modeled using multiple, concurrent architectural views. This paper describes these views and the tools used to model and evolve this reusable architecture into its associated product implementations. Finally, the paper briefly describes the insertion of this architecture across our company´s FMS product lines.
