Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel frequency synchronization algorithm with an adaptive weighting technique for OFDM systems over time varying fading channels. Specifically, by combining frequency offset estimations from different preambles carefully, an optimal frequency offset estimation can be achieved. Moreover, two simplified schemes with reduced complexity are further contrived. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the performance of frequency offset estimation compared to the conventional schemes.
