Abstract
This paper describes protocols for inter-vehicle communication (IVC) to support safe driving with wireless technology. Many IVC systems using DS/SS are proposed, but proposals that use FH/SS are less than those. This paper suggests IVC based on the FH/SS technique, assuming real road conditions, and evaluation via computer simulation. As a consequence, this simulation shows that the time to establish the communication link in an AWGN propagation path is stable and saves time when using 8 hopping frequency.
