Abstract

Our R&D status of broadcasting systems using HAPS is described. Prior to practical tests using airships, which are now under development, preliminary flight tests are planned concerning 47/48 GHz band broadband transmission and UHF HDTV broadcasting systems using OFDM transmission. As for both systems, onboard and ground test equipment has been already developed.
