  • Abstract
It has been shown theoretically that a line defect in a photonic crystal could be used as a submicronic waveguide. We have developed a technique using a grating decoupler that allows experimental studies of such waveguides. We focus on the propagation losses and their origin with the help of FDTD modeling.
