mB1I code and its performance in very high-speed optical transmission systems

The authors suggest a line code for high-speed optical transmission systems, called mB1I. The implementations of the coder and decoder are described and the code performance is determined. The superiority of this code compared to codes from the same class, regarding DC component and near low-frequency component suppression and clock extraction, is shown.
