  • Abstract
    The authors demonstrate a two-pump fibre optical parametric amplifier. The pumps were pulsed, each with 2.3 W peak power. A gain of /spl sim/8 dB was observed between the pumps near 1550 nm in a 200 m long fibre. This agrees well with theory.
